my 806 had been sitting for a while and now the steering and brakes dont work , what do i check or do thnaks for your help

There is a valve stuck or something in the MCV valve on the left side of the tractor. I can't remember but I think if you take the bottom plug out to the rear of the valve there is a small spring, ball or plastic needle looking think, then start the tractor up to see if you get oil. It has been years since I worked on them but you have lost your prime in your pump. The MCV pump is behind all that and controls steering, brakes and TA.

There is a plug on the MCV valve that faces the bell housing. It should be below the cooler lines, takes a 7/16 or 1/2 wrench. You can remove it and start the tractor, be ready to shut the tractor down when the oil flows, because it will be system pressure. This is one way to bleed the pump
