F12 with a distributor

i bought a Farmall F12 with electric start and it has a distributor drive. I know the distributor is wrong but I can't find anything on the drive. A friend told me it was a kit that came during the war. He said Mags were to expensive to rebuild. Does anyone have any info?

Hey thats pretty neat, never seen conversion like that before. I dont have any info on it but from the looks it just bolts in place of the magneto using the same coupler or spacer that the mag would. Im surprised it turns 90* like that, but i suppose to make it fit they had to do that. It sort of resembles the aftermarket ones that are really common on the Hs and Ms.
