2+2, 88 series two wheel, magnum....

This may be a weird question, but how similar are the housings on these three series tractors, is it possible to put a magnum transmission or cab onto a 2+2? From what i understand the magnum tranny is similar to an 88 series. and an 60 series 2+2 uses the same rear end at the standard tractors i believe.. any input anyone??

The 60 series 2 +2 uses the same basic power train as the 86 series tractors with no resemblence of the 50 series or magnum tractors.

A magnum rearend might fit under a 7488.

the reason i ask is a buddy of mine and i were talking about how much of ih's components were just slowly changed over the years. got to thinking and were trying to figure out if we could put a magnum cab on and 88 or a magnum tranny into a 2+2. something to make for fun and to make the neighbors think we're crazy!! lol
