SMTA or not revisited

I posted on this forum a few days ago about a possible SMTA that was going to be auctioned off. The tractor had super M decals on hood. Tractor was sold today for $5250. Serial # on tractor did fall into the SMTA range. (thanks to the person who posted years and #'s range) Tractor had a add on power steering unit (not a Char-lyn) and near new 13.6X38 tires. I didn't hear auctioneer say anything about working/nonworking TA. Thanks for your inputs. I'm kind of glad it didn't go for $1500-2000... then what do you do besides make your wife mad (again)

HAW-HAW! Yeah, them mad wives are something to be reckoned with, for sure.... mike

You didn"t happen to get the serial number by chance, did you? The SMTA I have is in the 80,0000 range. I was curious how close in the numbers it is to the one you were looking over because I do not have the SMTA decal either. It only says "Super M". Kind of wondered if it may have come from the factory that way.
