Touch Control arms move slowly on their own

I have a 1948 Super A and I notice that the touch control arms move up/down a little bit on their own. Not sure what would cause this - air in the system, adjustment required, or a rebuild?

Thanks.

Never had a SA, but our SC arms will move down on their own. Our case is that the friction discs need tightened. As the rockshaft arms move, the touch control levers inch backwards as well. Discs are under the covers at the bottom of the control levers if they are like the SC.

Usually that is a simple fix - friction discs on the levers need tightening to compensate for wear over the years.

Thanks. I looked in the I&T and nothing jumped out at me, is there a better manual?

I have the lever unit off and am not sure what/how to tighten it?

Steve: No need to take anything apart; put it back together.
Now, sit in the operator's seat and look at where the two hydraulic levers pivot. On the left side of the left one, and the right side of the right one, there are two nuts, each side. The outer nut on each is a jam nut. The inner nut is the friction adjustment. Loosen the jam nut and tighten the friction nut until your levers snug up and have some resistance. Then, holding those nuts in position with a wrench, tighten the jam nut with a second wrench to hold them there. Cake.
