H water pump pulley, belt adjustment part question

I need the front half of the water pump pulley for a farmall H...the part that you tighten to towards the engine and tighten the belt. Mine has been cracked since I got the tractor and I cannot tighten the belt enough. I am not sure what it is called, I found this in the manual, is it what I need?

Fan and water pump pulley flange, adjustable, # 102723

Where can I get one of these?

Are you sure on that part number? My book shows 6598DX

They show a new one here in the YT parts section, pricy though, check cowman or ebay for a used one.

If you get it off and cleaned up, I wouldtn't be afraid to weld it.

I have welded pulleys before using Nickle rods with a stick welder.

I would just weld about an inch at a time, then between welds Peen the heck out of it with your chipping hammer.

Other than the labor of putting it back together and trying it, you wouldn't be out much to try it.

I broke one of mine. I had our maintenance man at work weld or braze it. It wasn't very straight after that, so I put it on a straight shaft and turned it in a lathe. It has been runnin good since then.

Off to an auction today to buy a dead 400 with loader and a wide front.
