Depends on what seat you have. There is a seat that goes on the battery box, an aftermarket EZ ride seat, optional IH hydraulic seat and a few other types. What do you have?

The seats ALL have the funnel shaped spring. Is your shock absorber located in front of the spring or behind the spring?

here are two style seats with shocks, one has the shock to the rear of the spring, the other has the short shock to the front of the spring. steiner tractor parts can get you either one. the m in the top pic with the sickle mower is a 1942, the second m is a 1949.

glennster, every pic of your tractors you post looks great. Were the tires on your w9 with duals 18.4 34 or 16.9 34??

the inners are 16.9, and they are loaded 5lb/gal with chloride. i picked the clamp on duals up at an auction for 55 dollars, but they are 18.4's. i run the outers at about 7 or 8 psi to get a good foot print, but low enough so the inners get a good bite. i have a set of 8 wheel weights in the barn, but as yet havent had the need to put em on. at 220lbs or so a piece, it would really give er some bite!!

Cool. I am putting 18.4 on my 9 as the rims are shot. it has 16.9 on it now. then...i have a set of 18.4 clamp ons, tires are pretty rough...buut they are duals..right? I just cant get over how tough yours looked with duals. My 9 is LP, unrestored. i need to get a pic of it on here.

i"d like to see some pics of your lp, sounds like an interesting tractor!! i picked up a live pump and all the doo-dads for mine, but havent got it installed yet. been running a char-lynn pto pump on er to get hydraulics. i have power steering on my 9, really makes it a nice tractor to operate. one of these days i got to get around to painting it. i do have the factory parts manual for the 9 series from i-h, so if you need parts looked up, shoot me an email.
