where do i find the serial tag?? Im also looking for a hand crank for it!!

Someone may be able to give you an estimate based on the engine serial which is stamped under the number 1 spark plug. But, you will never know for sure the exact number. You can tell the year by casting numbers which are on all major castings. 1*8*T means the part was cast on Jan 8, 1950. The * resembles a screw head. Q was 1947, R 1948, S 1949, T 1950, U and W 1951, X 1952, Y 1953, Z 1954.

Jason: If you give me the engine serial number, I can come very close on the year. That engine serial number is stamped as opposed to being cast in place. Super A's started off in 1947 with engine and tractor serial number being very close. By 1954 the engine numbers were 2,000 higher than tractor numbers. I have enough of both serial numbers recorded at various years, I can come quite close.

The date codes CNKS gave you will also come close.
