Have a 1950 Cub. Been soaking the engine since Feb. Just got the last piston out this weekend. The cylinders look great. No lip at all at the top. So, wonder if it's been bored? The pistons look good but not sure what size rings to buy. Don't they usually stamp the size on top if they're oversize? I don't see any #'s anywhere so do I assume they're standard?

Measure it with a telescopic bore gauge and mic to determine the actual size, guessing is similar to buying a dress for a Woman (wife). Very risky.
Patience is a virtue, good job on the removal. JimN

I live near the Hastings Manufacturing Company,Old name is Piston Ring, and I can take my piston in and they make rings for it,Most auto parts stores around here will do the same, take your piston in and have rings made,
