m live power hydraulics

Hi I am still having problems with my friends M with live power. We have the two valves to the loader and the bucket getting fluid from the factory valve and the return to it, the loader lifts and drops, but the bucket will not move up or down. do we need to bypass the factory valve and get fluid right from the pump? Thanks Dave K Lyle Mn.

Each valve needs to be supplied the first from the IH valve output, the second from the exhaust from the first. You can only use one valve at a time.
The exhaust from the second valve must go to the reservoir return. Using both valves at once will cause wild and uncontrolled action. I hope this helps. JimN

Assuming you have the engine-driven pump, and the factory "christmas tree" valve here's how the hoses go. It's really quite simple. You work in complete loops. The easiest thing to do is put the second valve in the loop first:

Loop #1:
1. From the pressure side of the pump to the second valve IN port.
2. From the OUT port of the second valve to the IN port of the factory valve.
3. Out the bottom of the factory valve back to the fill pipe of the reservoir.
4. From the drain port on the reservoir to the suction side of the pump.

Loop #2:
1. From one WORK port on the factory valve to a T fitting.
2. From each leg of the T fitting to the bottom ports of the lift cylinders.
3. From the top ports of the lift cylinders to a second T fitting.
4. From the second T fitting back to the other WORK port on the factory valve.

Loop #3:
1. From one WORK port on the second valve to a T fitting.
2. From each leg of the T fitting to the bottom ports of the bucket cylinders.
3. From the top ports of the bucket cylinders to a second T fitting.
4. From the second T fitting back to the other WORK port on the second valve.
