farmall H oil pressure adjustment?

Just wondering how do you adjust the pressure on the oil pump? I would like to raise mine up a little. It is around 45psi when cold or wide open throttle all the time and when warm it is at 30psi at an idle. I just would like to get it near 60 when wide open and 45 at idle. Thanks in advance.

Why do you want to raise the oil pressure? 30 psi at idle hot and 45 psi at speed is excellent for an H. (Incidentally an H engine will run fine and enjoy long life with oil pressures half of what you are reporting.)

Higher oil pressures only dumps more heat the oil and it requires a bit more engine power to drive the oil pump. Other than that it accomplishes nothing.

With 40wt in it, I would look to clearancing and flat sanding the cover of the oil pump. I believe you will not adjust the oil pressure, you will repair a leak/ JimN

There is no way to "adjust" the oil pressure.

Why does everybody think that they can just turn a screw and adjust their problems away? Not that there is any problem here, because 45psi is pretty darned good.

Some makes of tractors DO have an adjustable pressure oil pump. John Deere 3020s' and 4020s' come to mind, but a Farmall H DOES NOT.

This is my first farmall I have owned. I am learning as I go with it. Before on the 2 cylinder John Deeres they are adjustable, that is why I asked. Looks like I will just leave it alone then. Thanks to everyone who replied.
