ihc 400 sheet metal

have ihc 400 gas. what is a good method to replace square nuts that rust that hold the sheet metal above motor. bolts get rusty and takes too much time taking off to do maintenance.

any slick, cost effective solutions ? got pics ?

Have you tried some Never Seize on the threads?
Some one said that they knew someone who welded the sheet metal together and then cut it apart when they needed to get into the tractor.

The clip mounted nuts were available from CaseIH. I took 1/8 X 1/2 X 2" strap and brazed it on a new SS nut. I also used silver Moly antisieze compound on the threads. JimN

You can get blind nuts from you CaseIh dealer. I’m not sure of the part#
