International 1086 Hydrlc. problem

I have a 1086 IH that when I pull the remote to activate the front end loader valve, the power steering and brakes go out on me. Any help would be great. Thanks

For starters have you changed the filter and checked the oil level?

Next, the suction tube oring could be letting air in. Add 5 extra gallon of hydraulic oil above full to see if this helps.

Now this is a new one for me . Since the two systems are separate and the one should have no affect to the other unless she is low on oil or the filter is getting plugged . And with out being there and putting some gauges to it and checking pump outputs This is one that has got me stumped. I'll be thinking about this one for awhile .

On the 86 series with the supercharge kit the systems are hooked together. If I had to guess I would say the rear pump is weak.

Yea i was thinking about that But here in the 86 sires i do not claim to be the guru on them as i was just starting to learn them when i closed up shop. So yes it could be a cavation problem . And here ya would have to flow rate BOTH pumps .

The function of the supercharge line is to provide the front (mcv) pump with a charge of fluid thus reducing cavitation and flow through the filter. When aux valves and hitch are in neutral, the return flow from rear pump flows to the mcv pump and as soon as you activate aux valves or hitch the supercharge flow is cut off and mcv pump has to draw it's own fluid. That is why so many 86 series have a lube light blink or flat spot in power steering when you pull aux valve lever. I would change filter, look over fluid and go from there. May have a suction leak if fluid and filter are in good shape.
