I worked on a my '51 W6 and my '51 C yesterday and started thinking as I was cleaning bolts. Can't imagine just how many "dot" headed bolts were produced over the years? Must be in the millions. I'm assuming that IH made them all themselves. Nowdays they would be made in China. Sorry, rambling waiting for the snow to melt. It's 50 degrees right now.

All the letter series came with dot heads the letter series started with dot head with the grade five markes and later moved to the ih stamped head. When i restore a tractor, i put all the correct bolts on it. Its fun trying to run and around to find bolts to replace missing or rusted bolts on my project tractors.
