The answer is again humbug (sorry for the seasonal implications) There are no perpetual motion machines. This is no exception. Getting peak watts from output, and averaged watts from input might result in the meeter readings. But!!! if it was really generating power beyond unity it would be operating on its own output, not grid power. It would be shown making a load operate with no connection to any source of external input. It cannot do this. Its patents cover control of output motion, not excess energy output. Sorry, but reality as we know it is not open to perpetual motion, or magical methods. If it were set on a wood table in the middle of the Mohave Desert, with the location chosen by you. And a lead acid battery used to provide the DC to get it spinning. Then disconnected to allow its output to provide the input DC through a very good inverter. I would be both amazed and blown away. There is no free lunch in the physical world we have found our selves in. Some one always pays. I call it a gift lunch. JimN

I have to agree with Jim. It takes energy to make energy and when you factor in mechanical friction and the energy loss through the wires it isn't going to happen. You then factor in the energy loss of DC power it is even less feasible. Thomas Edison tried to build his electrical system using DC power. The amount of energy lost is 1 mile was prohibitive. The inverter to convert DC to AC is going to introduce additional power loses. Westinghouse introduced the AC electrical grid which is more efficienct for long distance transmission of electrical power. Sorry but this is not a reality.

Howdy
Just a question, many years ago I picked up an old Popular Mechanics magazine (probably from the 40's), in it was an article from the top scientists of the day. It explained how they were going to harness the energy of the oceans to generate electricity, the diagram showed a very simple mechanism that took advantage of the wave action and tides. They said that as long as the moon stayed in the sky and water was in the oceans we would have all the power we could want and at a low cost because the oceans provided a source of "FREE" power. I would think that they may have had a good idea there as the oceans would provide a more reliable source of power than the wind, which blows as it pleases. Any old Popular Mechanics readers out there?

I particularly liked their rquirment for investors, makes it sound so exclusive:
