I want to put a 3-point on my m. Can anyone give me a good way to do it or have a drawing on how to? Thanks

Someone may have a drawing. You can get a new 3 point with 2 cylinders from Saginaw County Tractor for $675 plus freight. The best made.

Been 3 or 4 years since I bought one. Seems freight was about $150, but could have doubled by now, that makes it close to $1000. I think the $675 price is still current. Saginaw prefers to ship it to a local business, so I have it shipped to my Case-IH dealer, seems to be cheaper than the two local freight terminals.

My personal opinion is if you figure 300 lbs of steel at $1/lb, plus buying the clevis pins, the rollover balls and the hydraulic cylinders, then manufacturing the turnbuckles and whatever welding consumables...I can't see how those guys make much money at all.

I think they buy the steel in quantity to get a break...I seriously don't think i could build that in my shop which is reasonably equipped for the same money.

Been on vacation and missed this thread. I"m not on my home computer to post pics but the cost and bulk of the after market 3 points is why I built my own. If you search M 3 points I think my hitch will be in the mix. I like the fact that it uses Farmall parts for most of it. My M is a working farm tractor so the hitch had to stand up to heavy work and it does fine with single cylinder on belly pump.
