ccw magneto for ID9

The mag. on my Id 9 is very ruff looking however it still sparks hot. I have a magneto that came off a running Bn that is like new how ever it is cw whereas the one on the diesel is ccw. My question is the one from the Bn turns both cw and ccw and seems to spark just as hot each way what gives? Can I use it on my ID 9? thank you in advance for your answers.
 
Don't believe you can use it. The advance will be the wrong way but since it is diesel and you really do not operate it at speed on gas, maybe it will work. The impulse should not work in the reverse direction.

The impulse won't work running backward. Also the spark advance will become a "spark retard" - doing exactly the opposite of what your ID-9 requires for safe starting.

HOWEVER according to the IHC mag manual (page 55), magneto rotation can be reversed by replacing the impulse mechanism, the drive flange and the rotor (or changing the cam on the end of the rotor), then retiming the rotor drive gear.
 
Depends on the make. Some mags you are able to move an index plate and reposition the actuating 'fingers' to enable the impulse to work the oposite way.But I don't think International mags do this MTF
 
The B mag wont work. If the one on the tractor has spark why change? Finding one with ccw rotation wont be easy.
