How many times do You pump the grease gun handle When You grease the fittin' at the throw out bearin', and how often do You grease it?

Question concerns My Farmall A

Thank Yaw'l,
Wild Bill Caldwell

Left hand side of clutch housing there is a hole that is supposed to have a spring clip cover over it. The grease fitting is located through that hole. If you have not done this before, grease, dirt, etc., may make it difficult to find the fitting. May help to shine a light through the access hole in the bottom of the clutch housing.

Bill, did you by any chance miss this?
There are two (2) grease fittings.
One is the Clutch Bearing Retainer grease fitting accessed through the clutch housing (side) dust cover. Grease "two or three strokes every 120 hrs." (IHC - Super-A)

The other is the Clutch Release Bearing itself. Fitting can be accessed through the bottom clutch housing handhole cover (use a good flashlight to find it after removing any factory-installed? mouse nests). "Every 1,000 hrs or at least once every year, apply a few strokes or just enough until grease starts to come out of the bleeder hole on top of the bearing retainer." (IHC - Super A)
I'm guessing that this also applies to the "A".

If it is anything like a M, you are NOT greasing the throw-out bearing! You are greasing the sliding mechanism that pushes on the throw-out bearing. The throw-out bearing is sealed.
