Dear YT,

I have an unrestored Farmall Super A. We've been together for the past two years.
We had a wonerful day together last Saturday. We mowed pastures. My hand on its wheel, sun shining. It was a beautiful thing.
I slipped away to my buddys house Sunday afternoon. I had a couple of beers. One thing led to another. Before I knew it, I was mowing with his '53 Ford. Some other guys mowed with it, too. Not all at the same time, that would be sick, but we all took turns. I feel so dirty now. I enjoyed the experience so much. That little tractor was mowing chest high stuff in 4th gear. I felt power I had never known before.
The worst part is that I want to do it again. I think about stopping by when he's not home just to see that Ford.
What should I do? How can I ever face my little Super A again? I'm scared that it will find out and leave me, taking the implements with it.

Please help!

Confused

with a FORD ???? if your going to stray at least go up the ladder not go to the bottom rung!!! your a sick, twisted, demented individual and we should hang out! that was pretty good

Like good shrinks say, you need to re frame the situation.
There are some very nice BIG red tractors out there, looking for a new owner that will make them work for a living. And, they will make that Ford look like a child's trike. Go Big Red! Or, Go Bigger Red!

And, how many beers did you have?
I find most people disappointed with taking an A or Cub with a belly mower and thinking it will act like a brush-hog. I do believe that most belly mounted mowers are finishing mowers and not of the strength or power to accomplish what you did on the Ford.
Do they say, "Apples to apples"? Maybe, that is the problem and the suggestion of powering up with a "red" tractor would be more to your satisfaction!

Shock treatment might be the only way to save himself.

OR maybe that's what happened to start with, big shock, lost mind.

Well my H does move than my 9 and 8N's, however my 36 massey harris Challenger does more than my H the 135 M F does more than them all. But they all does what I have them for.
Go get a H and forget about what you did while drunk, we all have done thinks while drunk we should tell others.

typo ajustment;

Go get a H and forget about what you did while drunk, we all have done thinks while drunk we should Not tell others.

Maybe is is time to power up. I"ve been pulling a 4" bush hog with the Super A. Ba nice to go bigger. The problem is that I"ve gotten used to the offset position. Did IH make something bigger with an offset? It"s nice to be a ble to jump my fat butt up into the seat instead of having to climb over.
I had a brief run with a John Deere M years ago ( Come on, I was young then!). That thing would nearly break your feet off trying to climb into the driver"s seat. Not much room between the gearbox and fenders.

Thanks for being so understanding. I've told my Super A about it. It doesn't hold it against me.
I think we're actually going to have an oil change this weekend and try to relax some. Maybe we'll even have a bottle of gas treatment. We've been talking about buying another implement. Maybe a dirt pan this time.
I know there's bigger and stronger tractors out there. There are some with more paint and legible decals.
I still love my little Super A!
