I was wanting to over haul my IHC560 I going to re use the sleeve and piston was wondering wear
a good cheap place to buy rings bearing gasket etc.
 
I was asking where the bestplace to get these
parts... I seen many tractors go along time with just rings...so its not cheaping its knowing
 
Last winter my machine shop got a kit for my early 282 through Red Power. It was about $900 for whole thing, rings, pistons, sleeves, pins, bushings, gaskets, valeves, guides, and springs. Again it was an early block so had the machine shop install and size the sleeves and put the guides in for another $250-300.

I'm with tractor vet if ou end up working on it you just as well replace everything to get the best performance out of it. 282s are a pretty picky engine compared to most.
 
Well ya can get parts at NAPA Myself i deal with a jobber warehouse . Yea it will run and ya may get a few hundred more hours out of it then again she my puk from a piston slapping to hard against the wall BECAUSE i figure you are going to hone it for the new ring and this will just make her bigger and increase the skirt to wall clearance sooooo it will not be long before she starts rappen. But hey it's your tractor your time .
 
I'm surprised you posted on here asking where to get rings for your tractor. You seem to think you know everything else so I would assume you would no where to get the best rings for the absolute cheapest prices. Listen to the tractor vet. He has forgotten more about IH engines than you will ever know. He is the real deal. He absolutey has been there and done that on just about any Farmall.
 

...and don't attack people for giving advice, especially good advice. If it's not exactly what you asked for, let it go. Your comment to tractor vet was uncalled for, and not something you should be doing to people you're asking for help from.
