I need to replace the radiator, OEM seems to be about 100 bucks more, is there's any better. Don't mind paying if i'm getting more.

Personally. I'd have a re-core done at a local radiator shop.

There is also another factor whether you buy new or have it re-cored. If you are still using thermosyphon cooling, make sure you get the right core for thermosyphon cooling. Therein could lie the difference in prices you've been quoted.

thermosyphon?? is that non-pressurized, then yes. Its an all original. Will get a complete resto in a few years. This thing has patches all over it, I just assume replace it. I'm trying to figure out the differences reolacement rads.

Pressurized or non pressurized and thermosyphon are two different items. There were both pressurized and non pressurized thermosyphon systems. All A, B, C and SA up to serial number 336711 were non pressurized thermosyphon cooling systems. SA after 336711 were pressurized thermosyphon cooling systems.

Thermosyphon is nothing more than the cooolant circulation system. The cooled coolant entered the engine through bottom radiator port, as the engine heated the coolant it rose to the top and back to radiator through top port. This system had no water pump or thermostat, coolant flow was controlled by size of radiator core. The cores are a specific size for that

Water pump cooling systems use a thermostat to controll coolant flow.
