Dad sold the old 656. The 966 does nothing but mow anymore. We have a PILE of IH suitcase weights and a few rear wheel weights. I'm not sure of the actual weights of the front weights, but it seems like they were 50's and 75's or 75's and 100's. Either way, they were durn heavy to put on or take off. What is a FAIR price for weights like these? Dad doesn't want to stiff anyone, but I don't want him to get stiffed either. Just like to quit tripping over them in the shed. We're located in South central Illinois, if geography has any bearing on the value.

thanks for all the replies.. never expected them to be that high. Dad was hoping to get scrap price for them! He'll be pleasantly surprised.

The 75# and 100# bring the same usually $45 to $75 although they brought $90 at the sale at Danbary Ia last Sat. the IH emblem makes a difference. The rears seem to be plentiful and seem to bring from $15 to $ 30 apiece. The generic aftermarket weights only the pullers want.

Well in todays market the 75's will bring 45-75 a weight and 100's will do 35- to 70 and full donuts or the 150 rear weights will bring 35-60 bucks . I can remember buying 10 100lbs. weight and new chain as they would chain them into stacks of 10 and ya would bid on the chain and had to give between 100 to 150 for the chain made it easy to load a stack . then the last bunch i bought i ended up giving 27.50 a weight and took all that they had at the sale made a bunch of people mad at me that day hauled them home and the next day while i was unloading the truck a guy came in and bought three ton of them and never batted and eye at the price of 55 a weight.

I've seen both the wheel weights and the suitcase weights sell at auction for between $25 to $75 EACH and even higher. Start high on the suitcase weights. There is much more demand for those.
