Question's 350u steering wheel leak

350u started leaking oil from top of jacket tube directly behind steering wheel,I"ve decided to replace bearing & seal.Has anyone done this before?Do I need to remove jacket tube? If so do I Knock bearing out from inside out? Which way do I reinstall?Thanks.

I was able to pry out the old seal from the top. I knew I had the correct replacement in hand, so I was not attempting to be careful other than to keep the surfaces from being marred up. It is easy once the wheel is off. Polish up the shaft where there may be rust on it , to keep from abrading the lip. I put a bit of hytran on the seal as I put it in to lube it. JimN
