Help,my 3788 clutch was replaced 300 hr ago. Now, when starting under a load in range one gear three it moves ahead slowly like you were pushing a hyrostat lever slowly. Sometimes it won't move at all. How can the clutch be bad so soon? Is it possibly any thing else but the clutch? (the free play is correct, also before this happened,I topped off the tranfer case, the first time I have done that since I have owned it for 5 years,500 hr.

Well on the bend in the middle tractors i am no expert as i have never been into one as they were not popular around here . But from what you are sayen i would take a wild guess that you may have oil getting into the clutch area . Now if this is not the case then you have a problem with the clutch hyd assit and not allowing it to engauge fully . Now these are just guesses.

Believe it or not, 3788 clutch setup is pretty much the same as a 1566. I know it"s goofy; clutch, starter, flywheel are all behind the hinge. I would look at the hydraulic assist.

Whoops, I mean a 1586 not 1566. Same idea anyhow.
