Thank You Dirtbag

If you have recently purchased a Super M in the vicinity of Quincy, IL or Hannible, MO with a missing head...........it could be mine.

If you are the scrap wh#r# with the Kubota tractor that stole this and other items from my friend and his neighbors, good things happen to good people and ...........well, you know the rest.

I hate it for you. The scrap miners are having a field day in my part of the world. A buddy of mine had the axles, springs, and bumpers stolen off an old bus he has. Just a few miles from here, a 17 year old kid got caught hooking up to a reel trailer with a couple of thousand feet of 150 pair telephone cable on it. The trailer was on the side of the road where the crew had stopped plowing for the weekend. The kid sawed off the cable and was trying to haul it off in broad daylight! Luckily, the people accross the road called the Sherrif.
Make a call to your local scrap yards. Maybe they"ll keep an eye out and help you catch the culprit.

No, you dont want his house to burn down, he may have cats or dogs who would get hurt. I just got to thinking, does bad people's dogs like them? I guess as long as they aren't mean to them they would.

I know the gal that runs the scales in Boonville Mo. at the scrap yard. I'll run by there and mention this to her tomorrow. Not sure if she would know what a super M is though. They tend to stack all of the tractors in one particular spot, just south of the scales. I'll look there also while I am there.

Dont know how far they would haul scrap these days. You would think fuel would be a concern, even for crooks.

Thanks Gene. I am fairly certain it didn't end up in Boonville. When the neighbor caught him they went to the scrap yard either in Quincy or Hannible. The scrap dealer told him if he wanted his stuff back he would have to pay scrap price. After the Sherriff arrived, apparently the threat of being charged with receipt of stolen property changed his mind.

There is some sort of investigation. I hope I find out who this guy is. I'm the calm sort that won't do anything stupid, but I would consider stopping by his house and letting him know how much I appreciate him.

Well, that is good that you are the calm sort. Don't do like Johnnnny2006 (here on the forum) was going to do last summer - shoot some teen-age punks in a green Ranger pick-up for stealing a few gallons of gasoline off his place. Fortunately, some of the regular boys here on the forum got little Johnnnny calmed down. Could have been a tragedy over a few gallons of gasoline. mike
