Found and F-20 for sale today but think the guys price is a bit out of line. He says it has one good rear tire but the other one is 100% bad, said it ran 2 years ago but hasn't tried to start it lately. Hes asking $600 for it. What do you guys think is he in the ball park or is he way out in left field on his price.
Thanks

Price doesn't sound too out of line IF it actually will start up and run decent. But until you hear it run, best to assume it doesn't. We've all heard the "it ran fine when I parked it" line.

If he(or you) can't get it to start and run, his price is about double what it should be.

I was offered 300 a ton picked up here and weighed on my scales . Price of old tractors has to go up .

Does it have an options or additional equipment on it? Is it complete? The price doesn’t seem too bad to me, but all old iron (except old worn out tobacco tractors) are higher out east. If she appeals to you…… well, you know the deal.

Take care,

Scott

Old,
A 20 typically weighs 4000-4500 # so at $300 a ton he isn't out of line and unless totally destroyed twice that in parts.

Here its $125 per ton. I think the F-20 price at $600 sounds good. I have not picked up my F-20 yet, but I paid $950 for mine, ran 2 years ago.

Old, I am chasing leaks around my F-20 radiator,
A new core cost 340.00 from Rice thats half the price of your F-20 if the radiators is good on it.

Guess I should add to my reponse that I live in an area that had a couple VERY good IH dealers back in the day and F-20's are pretty darn common here.

Price of iron lately has no doubt made many of 'em dissappear and with that the value most likely went up along with it. Still, I've got two or three that were given to me in the past year or so that I just need to make time to go get...
