Power Steering Squeal

This is my first Farmall. It is a 706. When I am raking or baling hay and have to make a sharp turn the power steering unit squeals. Is there any adjustment to the power steering unit? Also, I have noticed that the tappets are pecking not bad but you can hear them. I have good oil pressure and does not smoke. What is the opinion on this.
 
To the first question NO as what you are hearing is the pressure relief bypassen . and as to the tappet noise first i need to know what engine as tractor engines are not hyd. liftered and are solid lifter and need adjustment every so often It would be in your best interest to buy a I T manual for your tractor and a operators manual as well .

The valves set at .027 and if ya have never set valves before on a I H tractor then Please get a IT manual and read how it is done . Also ya have to watch as with the age and ware there is some as i call it BRIDGING on the rocker arms and this make it real hard to get a good valve set . This ware is normal and when i have a head off i have the machine shop reface the rocker arms . One trick that i use when doing a valve adjustment on one that has Bridging is i use my small points feeler gauge rather then my valve setting feeler gauge . Also since you are new to the world of 706 gasser that tractor should be run on 93 octane gas ( high test) as this is the recommended gas for that engine from the day they were new as back in 1963 reg gas at the pump was 95 octane and high test back then was anywhere from 100 - 105 . Ya do not need and snake oil like lead additives or octane booster as that is a total waste of money . The engine already has hardened seats and hardened valves .. Use only Case I H low ash 30 W engine oil .
