Does anybody know where I can get a planter and fertilizer that bolts on the side of my 1966 IH cub? Or if someone can give me the info on what kind of planter that will bolt up, such as a model number, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Nick, unfortunately there is no clean-cut answer to questions like that. Where can you find it? Anywhere. There's no one place to look for things like that.

Look on ebay. Check craigslist. Look in the classifieds on this site. Keep an eye on the local papers. Check regional farm publications. Watch the road sides as you drive around. Let your fingers do the walking, and locate tractor salvage yards in your area via the yellow pages.

Cub planters are fairly rare, and unless you're really lucky and happen across someone who doesn't know what they have, you'll pay a pretty penny.

No Cub, but I have a JD 290 planter. It's a 2 row, towed planter. I planted 2 acres (corn)with it one year pulling it with a 4 wheeler. You could pull it with a lawn tractor, mower. Adjustable for row width and population.
Available in SD $300.

I got a Cole planter that had been setup on a tool-bar. I mounted it on a some angle iron, drilled and bolted it to the cub draw-bar. With a chain from the draw-bar up to the lift arm. now I can lift it at the end of the row. If you have a quick hitch it would be easy ti hook up. One thing about that setup, " Don't backup with it down " it WILL plug.

I have one in good shape. I bought it thinking it would work on a 140 tractor but it did not fit. If interested you can contact me.
