I have scoured the earth and the web. I want to convert my 1955 Super MTA to a wide front end. I know that at one time there was a company manufacturing a new wide front end that would fit this tractor, but I haven't been able to track them down. Can someone point me in the right direction?

S-C-H-W-A-R-T-Z Schwartz still makes new aftermarket wide front ends for these tractors. Probably won't be able to buy them online, though. Only through a local machinery dealer. Ask if the dealer sells SCHWARTZ wide front ends. Don't ask for a front end for your specific tractor; they'll look at you like you're wearing fresh roadkill for a hat.

Greg,
I have located several wide fronts in NE, the last one I paid $500.00 for to put on my SMTA. This front end is off a 450 and it is in real good shape. Shoot me an e-mail if interested, and I could try to help you locate one.

Good Luck!

Ernie,
That is one good-looking SMTA. Be proud of it. Larry

Larry,

Thanks! It's my favorite Farmall! The only problem is I use it regularly so it's a challenge to keep her clean and looking good.

Thanks!
Ernie Bob

I can get new schwarts. I dont remember the prices but It would probably be in the $1000-1200 range depending on shipping. I can check the prices Wed. It has been tough to find good used ones around here...Jim

Since the last SMTA was produced October 15, 1954, you probably better check your information about yours being a 1955.

steelwheelranch.com has new schwartz wide fronts but they are rather pricey and good original wide front will probaly be even higher.
