Hi all. I have a 1950 Farmall H, which I bought a few years ago. I do not know if it is a 6volt or has been converted to a 12 volt. it does not have a battery in it. Are there any obvious indicators that would help me to determine what the voltage is? Thanks in advance for your help.

Biggest clue would be if it has an alternator. If so, figure 12v. If a generator, all but certain that it is 6v. (There are 12v generators around, but not many)

I took my generator to a repair shop and had it converted over to 12 volt because the Oliver I have was hard to fit with an alternator

Assuming it has a generator... Some places to start looking. Check the coil, 6 or 12v. Look for a resistor. Check the voltage reg. If the battery cables have been replaced, how heavy are they? Check the light bulbs, 6 or 12v.
This may help.
