I installed a new coil spring in my seat yesterday. But the small/lower end of the spring doesn't sit flat over the knob on the rear seat support. But I couldn't get it to come out either and seems alright. Has anyone experienced this also? And do you think spring will settle better in place after some use?

the spring on my H is original IH spring and mine doesn't sit flat either until I sit on the seat. It has never come loose.

That's odd. I just looked at a couple of original H seat springs I have out in the garage. They are ground down flat on the small end. You might try rotating the spring to see if that bottom will fit better.
