Help !! My front axle fell off my IH 806. I was discing and I heard a thump so I slammed the clutch in and before I knew it my two front wheels are flat on the ground and the chasis is on the ground and the axle is flat on the ground under the engine. What am I looking at for repairs ?

You need to assess the damage first. Determine what all broke, and then we can figure out the cost. If all of the damage/broken parts are to the axle, it can be fixed.

The bolster pin runs around $40.00, The bolster would be over $200.00, depending on the salvage source. The main axle beam would be around $300.00 here in Iowa.

The bolster pin is often the problem, though.

Been there, done that. It happened several years ago, but really wasn't that bad. Some parts were replaced. I believe the costliest was the bolster cast piece. Just make sure you put a new bushing in the pivot and grease it regularly.

Thank you all for your comments and help on the subject. I am no longer sacred to go tackle the chores ahead due to your helpful comments. Take care thanks

Brand new aftermarket parts are also available. About the same price as at a salvage yard, and just as good as original. Just send me an email.
