51 Farmall Cub Brakes

I have a 51 Farmall Cub with bad brakes,after taking them apart to find a LOT of grease and after replacing the seals in the trans.I know I need to replace the the linings because of the grease. I have the lining, it is the same size as my Model A Ford.Has any one replaced just the lining ???

If there"s enough lining still left, use a propane torch and burn off the grease and oil. Be careful not to let it get too hot and warp the band.

Yes i get linning from a old old brake shop in CR and the ruvets and do them myself. The prices they want for the relined ones is got far out of shape. My last restoration was on a Cub just like you sain oil soaked terrible linning was like new after i sandblasted.also did the drums thing realy has brakes now. I have also put the drums in the lathe and take a small cut with sharp v-shaped tool this makes like an old phono record with small grooves realy have brakes then
