I put new points condensor and coil in the 2504 cant get any spark.I alsoput new wires on it too.Points are set at the .020 still nothing. any help things to check. Jim
 
With a test light, or volt meter, open the cap and rotate the engine to have the points closed (they usually stop with them closed). Turn on the ignition. Test from engine ground to the movable points. If the light lights, or there is voltage there, the points have a manufacturing film on the contacts. Use a qtip and lacquer thinner, or finger nail polish remover (barely wet) to clean the contacts. Then try it. Another issue is getting the pass through bolt out of position and shorted to the dist. case. If so there will be no light or volts at the movable point with the points open.
