Do y'all put sealant on manifold to head gasket? If so what kind. I've done it both ways. With and without.

I use Permatex #2, on both sides. A thin even coat is best. Jim

I have had good sealing results with copper coat spray, this is designed for high heat applications. The kinds of which the exhaust manifold will experience.

Copper coat is what I use. I get it in the can with the applicator brush.

I too use spray copper. Easy to apply evenly.

But I will say the stuff smells weird enough to make me think it's probably not good to breath it.
