Anyone know if IH ever made seat belts for the 856 (open station) or would you just have to get something generic to fasten to the seat pedestal?

Thanks,

(quoted from post at 04:43:08 09/10/18) I always heard that a seat belt on a tractor without ROPS was a bad idea

YES! Open station tractors without a roll over protection device should not have a seatbelt.

Should be able to find an automotive belt at a junkyard. Or one from a cab tractor at a parts yard. Or from another piece of equipment.

Should be able to find one from a cab tractor or other implement in a boneyard. Or an automotive belt.

I was also going to mention a forklift as a potential candidate.

I think a lap belt from any full sized SUV would work well, probably find those in the 2nd and 3rd row seats in a junkyard.

Why would they be needed ? We don't have or use them in anything except the cars. then only to prevent the ticket from Roscoe P. Coletrain.

So in a rollover you aren't thrown off the tractor and crushed to death by the ROPS that was supposed to save your life.

Lemme guess, "I'm careful so nothing bad will ever happen to me."
