Long story short- a friend of mine has a 1586 that he had parked in his driveway for a few months. I asked him about it and he said that a freeze plug rusted out and he parked it. The exhaust manifold had to be removed to gain access to it. This gentleman happens to have Parkinson's and struggles with heavy things along with walking. I went over and removed the manifold and noticed two freeze plugs had pushed out, no rust holes. I replace all five with new ones and put the tractor back together. He decided to fill it up with water (he had a long wand on his hose), so I started to fill his skid loader with five-gallon containers of diesel for him. All of a sudden I hear water coming out the back of the tractor, I run over and water is coming out of the breather. I had bad thoughts.............went to the other side and pulled the dip stick and water shot out for a long time. I am guessing the tractor has a cracked sleeve that built pressure and popped the freeze plugs out, and when he filled the radiator the crack allowed the engine to fill up with water? What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
