running 263 gas price

Hey guys what's a decent running 560 263CID with at least 1 weak valve spring worth?
It was in frame overhauled back in the mid 90s with not very many hours on it since.
Runs good with no smoke, knocks and good oil pressure. Does have a light miss cause of weak intake valve spring.
Thanks for the help!

If you were told it was a weak spring, it is an iffy diagnosis. They can be weak, but usually break and fail, and neither happen often at all. There may be other issues. A valve spring is easy to change without removing the head. If the tires are 60% and usable, 2500 top price (unknown engine issue) Jim

Just the engine or the whole tractor?

If just the engine, $500 with a money back guarantee.

There's a reason the engine was removed from the tractor, and it ain't no weak valve spring.

Well it's the engine in my 560 I'm thinking about selling it and I didn't know what a good price was.
I had the valve cover off it a month ago and number 4 intake valve spring is weak to the point it runs with no valve float
but with the engine shut off of course you can grab the spring with the valve closed and move the spring around any way you want with slop in it.

A compression test or leak down test would give you a better idea on how well that valve is sealing. Does it only miss at idle or does it miss under a load too?

I suspect there are ways to replace a valve spring without removing the head, insert a rope into the spark plug hole and turn to TDC, etc.

It has a miss mostly at full throttle. Can't hear a miss at idle. Runs like a champ at idle.

A leak down test lets you listen for escaping air in different places:
intake manifold - leaking intake valve
exhaust manifold - leaking exhaust valve
crankcase - bad piston rings or head gasket
bubbles in radiator - bad head gasket

Stuff a foot of cotton cloths line rope in the spark plug hole, leaving an inch hanging out. Push on the tires in High Gear TA ahead until the piston has compressed the rope against the valves. Use a spring compressor lever to take the spring retainer off, and replace the spring. You will get at least a reasonable price with it running well. Dropping a valve when the retainer comes apart will cost way way more. Jim

Don't believe I'd be running it if suspected weak valve spring, ever see a piston, head and cyl after a valve drops?
