Just picked up a running 1955 300 for next to nothing and it runs. Could not pass it up, not that I need another rusty tractor.

But every Texan needs a heard; mine is rusty farmalls

My 'herd' of rusty farmalls now is up to 20....A couple other different colors also adds to the fun. LOL!

I wish I could find a 300 for little cost as I have little to spend. One of these days I guess.

I'm sure you'll love it ! Nice shape. I paid over 1000 for
mine a bunch of years ago. Mine was not running, and rear
rubber was shot. Tractors seem kinda pricey here in NY.
compared to other areas. Great tractors. Real handy with t/a,
fast hitch and hydraulics. Good power too. Mine has done
everything I have asked if it within reason. Keep us updated on
your progress !

Yep, I doubt very much that a person will find a running 300 for 200 dollars here. A 300 running but a bit rough in appearance is 1200-1300 dollars and no WFE or fast hitch. A good 300 NFE is 1500-1600 dollars. A guy will pay as much for a stage 1 Super H so it is a matter of what he prefers.

You done good. I bought one a few years ago, fast hitch back blade, three bottom plug and wheeled 7 foot chopper. $300.00.
It ran but it need some real attention. The sheet metal was un-dented, but rusty. I only bought it to keep it out of the weather. It had been sitting in the same place for several years. A year later I sold just the tractor for $300 to my neighbor with one promise that he would not let it sit outside. He's got it looking pretty now. I still have the rest of the equipment since I have a 350.

Bass, I'm glad there is another 300 in south Texas. I love mine. Would like to meet and compare someday. I'm near New Braunfels. kelly
