what size cultivator for a 300

will a 300 push a 4 row front mounted cultivator. just picked up a 300 and she needs lots of tlc . She does start and runs but the TA is out on the low side . got a 2 row fast hitch but me being me well i like front mount.

just wondering....... still gotta get here home.

Yes. The 300 should be able to handle a 4 row, front mount cultivator.

by memory and may be wrong but I believe the cultivator introduced at the time of the 300 and 400 tractors was number 255 for 2 row and 455 for 4 row front mount with a rear mount section to take out tire track.

It sure will. I did about 320 acres a year with one back in the early 60's. On flat land and Hills.

Easy, we had a 4 row front mount on our H, as a kid,it handled it fine, with the dome pistons.

I once operated a 900 series Ford tractor equipped with a 4 row, front mount cultivator. Plenty of power, but the tractor was too light. When encountering some HARD ground on one side but not the other, I had to firmly apply the brake in order to stay on the rows, and sometimes even had to raise the cultivator slightly. It was not a good experience.
