What is the best steps to take when changing the gaskets on PTO and belt pulley on a B? Any thing to look for? Will the shaft come out? Not a machanic just trying to learn to do some things for myself. Thanks for any replies.

Very simple remove the bolts that hold it on pull the assembly back and off straight and there it is in your hands. Clean up the gasket surfaces and then maybe put just enough silicone gasket maker on the hold the gasket in place and put it back together. When I say just enough that means a light film of it to glue the gasket in place. What I do most of the time is put the silicone on the PTO housing with it laying so that surface is point up then set the gasket on and drop the bolts into the holes and let it sit 5 or so minutes so as to let the silicone to set up and hold the gasket where it needs to be

You dont need to remove the PTO cause there arent any gaskets there just shims to set the gear lash. There is a seal on the belt pulley shaft and a gasket there. There is a seal on the PTO shaft but no gaskets.
