1456 injection pump

I'm removeing the (RoosaMaster) pump on my '14'. It is leaking fuel into the crankcase. I have the seals. This is not my first pump removal/reseal. My question: the drive 'lug' on this is a spline drive. Not the more common 'tang' drive I,m used to seeing. Is this unusual? just a 1456 thing? So....what's the deal here? Thanks,Steve.

That's a four roller pump, spline drive. Main thing is to set the timing first before removing the pump. There's supposed to be a center locating tang in the rotor, but some are missing. Seals are not in the pump on that application, but inside the drive adapter the pump bolts to. Anytime I repair 361, 407, or 429 pumps I insist on cleaning and resealing the adapter too. Some AC and JD engines used four roller pumps also.
