I just purchased a 656 diesel hydro. What is the significance or purpose of the small blue area or mark along the left side of the (upper/forward) hydro lever slot? Thanks for your help. Ken C.

Wide Open.

blue is prime efficiency and power range. One of my manuals said that's the spot for heavy field work.

Just curious; with the blue being wide open, what is further up (my lever will go up one more mark beyond the blue mark)? Thanks, Ken C.

Blue range isn't wide open. It's a power range.

The blue line indicates where the motor swash plate starts to change from 18 degrees to 8 degrees to reduce the volume of the motor and to give a travel speed increase.
