IH584 fuel leak

So the other day I filled up the tank on my 584 diesel. I walked by it today on my way to the shop and smelled diesel so I checked the tank level. It seems to be down from where it was when I pretty much filled it. I noticed on the top of the head left hand side it appears to have so fuel there and pooled a bit. I have just fixed a couple of the return line hoses In that area so not sure if that is from doing that or if some how having the tank almost full is pushing fuel out some place. Didn't have a rag handy to wipe it off and was doing other things. So any place it could leak In that area and not be running??

Hi Old,

Check crankcase oil level in case it leaked thru the front seal of injection pump.
The other place to check is between fuel tank and fenders. Junk collects in there and rusts a pin hole in tank.

I think I may have found it. The other day I had replaced a couple of those return lines with new fuel grade hose instead of the vacuum hose I had used when I got this thing. I grabbed a rag to wipe up the diesel on the head and noticed one line I had not replaced seem to be dripping a bit. It was the line that is at the last cylinder then goes down to the line that goes back to the tank. I replaced it with a piece of hose I had for that if/when it went bad so I guess it showed me it was ready to be replaced.
