IH 424 Oil Pressure

What is the normal oil pressure for a 4 cylinder gas engine in a 424?

Don?t know the specs on that tractor but if it were mine and at operating temp held 20-30 at full rpm and at least near 8-10 at idle I wouldn?t worry about it much. Now if you are doing something that puts it under nearly full load like plowing for 8 hours straight and it barely holds 20 at full rpm I would say time to investigate. Just my 2 cents, only worth what you paid for it.
Of course an owners manual would give you factory specs.

After repairing the warped oil pump base on my 424 this spring, I now have about 50 lbs of oil pressure when cold and around 35 when hot at fast idle.
