radiator on 706

Today, I was getting my 706 ready for picking corn and noticed the front frame looked damp, nothing fresh. Drove it down to start going through it and opened up the radiator cap and didn't see much of anything. Squeezed the lower hose on the left side and found some coolant. Filled the radiator with water and ran the engine to see if there were any leaks popping up. Nothing. Checked the oil dip stick and did not see any extra in there. So, I believe I have a small, slow leak in the radiator. A couple of questions: 1) Am I correct? 2) What can I do to seal up the leak? 3)Is it the radiator or water pump?

Pressure testers put normal level of pressure in the radiator. This allows leaks to be identified easily. Water pumps leak to the outside. as do hoses and radiators. Head gaskets can leak internally or externally. as can cracked blocks, and cracked heads. Combustion gasses in the radiator can be detected with a kit from and auto store. (cheap). Good luck. Jim
