I bought a new Fan assembly Part Number 701360R here on this web site, and it does not have any plug to oil it. do i need to drill and tap one so i can fill with oil
or ?

I've never bought one but thought the new ones came with a sealed bearing, look it over.

As Gab said more then likely has the newer sealed bearing which cannot be lubed and to drill a hole all you will be doing is harming it and voiding the warranty. That is part of the problem with newer stuff there made to be thrown away when they stop working and wore out. Just like the new ball joints on cars etc. No grease zerks to grease them

They must have changed them. I bought on about 5 years ago and it was the same as original. They may have put sealed bears on new ones. I know of very few guys that serviced them like they should.
