Rear wheel weight bolts

The factory square head bolts broke off when removing them,,What length bolt do I need and will the hex head fit in the recess of the weight.?

Can't you measure the ones that broke off? You can weld something to the head of a hex head bolt and make it work. Fastenal should be able to get you the square ones though.

Square Nuts are easy to find. Just reverse the bolts and have the square nut in the square hole.

I measured what's left of the bolt and figured about 4"...I guess I just didn't want anything too long sticking out...The closest hardware store is 24 miles away.

Hex head bolts work just fine. You can find the correct length at your local Case-IH dealer, or probably any other farm machinery dealer. You will NOT find the correct length at any farm store, or any other kind of general hardware store. You MIGHT find the correct length, but the threads will not extend far enough down the shank. Another option is to go with 3/4" grade 5 threaded rod.
