i have a Farmall B that is not getting any oil to the rocker arms. i took the oil pump out and checked that it was working in a tub of oil at i did shoot out oil about 3 feet or so. is there any other thing i should check for?the engine was rebuilt with a new sleeve kit new bearings etc.

the center stud holding the rocker arms is hollow and someone has put it in backwards or replaced it with something else take it out and inspect cause thatsw ho2w the oil getsds to the rockshaft

One thing that can cause no oil to the rocker arm is if someone "drove" the rocker arm on the two end studs, and did not line up the rocker arm shaft properly for the studs. There is a moon-shaped groove toward the ends of the rocker arm shaft to line it up properly, and there is a small hole in the rocker arm where the middle support gets the oil from the engine. If the rocker arm is not lined up properly, the hole will not allow oil into the rockers. I ran into that on a BN, and had to actually cut the rocker arm in pieces to get it off the studs - they had actually driven the rocker arm onto the studs! (Some people should not be allowed near tools or engines - but that's another discussion, lol.)

You take the valve cover off to find the center stud holding the rocker assy to the head it needs the drilled hole to be down so oil comes up thru the head and then goes thru the hollow rocker shaft to oil the rocker arms
