Farmall C clunking noise in transmission

I picked up a Farmall C in boxes a while back and have it back together and while driving I started hearing and feeling a
loud clunking sound coming from the transmission. What would I start looking at to see what it might be?
Should I pull the top off the transmission or check something else first?

When my B did that the oil slinger gear went bad. Made some loud crunching noises as the teeth broke off.

check to make sure wheels and wheel weights are tight

Does it do it in all gears? We have a "H" that does that in 3rd gear only. We discovered 2 teeth are broke off that gear?
